Here’s how I invite people to Network Marketing:
Write down what problem your product, service, or business solves.
Listen to your prospect. Care; be interested.
Ask about their life until you hear a problem your business solves. Then:
1) Empathize to learn more and help them be aware of their need for a solution.
2) “That’s EXACTLY how I help people.” or tell a useful story.
3) “If I could show you how to (solve your problem) would you like to learn a little more?”
4) Invite them to a tool to learn more about network marketing (video, book, meeting,etc.)

C: Company: Teach them about your company.
D: Duplicate: Help that prospect create a waiting list of 4 people who find 4, using Steps 1-3.
E: Enroll: THEN sign up just that prospect.
F: Farm: Help them do the same.
THAT’S what we’re teaching in the MLM Millionaire Club this month.
What this does:
1) Educates them about MLM, like learning to drive BEFORE you give them the keys.
2) Screens (qualifies) your prospects, so you conserve your time and energy for serious ones.
3) Provides immediate success = less attrition.

Have you heard this? “I don’t have the money to buy your product or to start a business.” How do you respond?
Sometimes people need you to champion them: to help them think outside their little box.
You just gave them a way to get healthy, save on their energy bills, or have a better future! Think a minute: Where else can they start their own business for just hundreds (not thousands) of dollars? DO THEY HAVE A BETTER PLAN? ~ I can’t think of one anywhere.
People are drowning. You’ve just thrown them a lifeline. Do they understand what this will mean to their future? Do they understand what it will mean if they DON’T take your help?
So, how do they get the money? Here are some of my ideas:
1) Save it. A little over time, and they will have the starter money that can bring them a huge Return on Investment if done right. Not only that, but saving like this, they’ll probably value the opportunity more, and work harder than someone who had the start money lying around. Not a bad thing!
2) Cut expenses. Don’t eat out for a few months. Stop smoking. Have coffee at home instead of Starbucks. Use vacation money to start a business that can give you dozens of vacations!
3) Earn it. Do a job for someone. When my son was little, he asked me to buy a certain item for him. I said no, but I WOULD help him arrange jobs with the neighbors to earn the money.
4) Borrow it. (My least favorite way) It has worked for some people who have borrowed, started the business, and paid it back from the sales they made.
My point is that money is just a very small obstacle in the path of a person who is determined to create a better life for themselves. Once that commitment is made, we see over and over again the stories of folks who almost magically found a way.
It’s the magic of commitment.

Torrey messaged me on the Facebook page for the MLM Millionaire Club: “With all the information on the Net clamming to help build my business, how do I know what information to spend time on and what to pass on? I like what I have read of your page, but I don’t want to spend so much time reading about improving my business and not growing my business. It’s a lot of good information, but what action should I take now? Thanks for the help.” ~ Torrey
I replied: “Really Good Question Torrey! Where is your business now? what stage?”
Torry replied: “New here. Im a Juice Plus+ rep.”
My answer: “First action step: I would get this book: http://goo.gl/SeBVc. Just follow the steps.

Torrey’s answer: “Thanks Bess, yes, this is not a get rich idea. Thank you for the being willing to help. I’m going to check out everything you sent me. I know everyone started where I am.”
At the next MLM Millionaire Club call, Torrey was on it! She had joined the Club! She divulged that she had asked a number of MLM teachers the same question as an experiment to see who would be most helpful.
These are the responses she got:
“I was surprised how some brushed me off. Two said, “Stop reading and take action.” ? OK, I know that! I was asking them what action to take. Some sent me likes to some books to check, or only wanted me to buy their training series. Two didn’t answer; they were women. I understand they are busy public figures, but to me if you have a face book page, and you have the option to get messages, you would check them and want to answer. Maybe they will later.
To me, having a business Facebook page means you want to share your business/experience with everyone, and I would be glad someone asked me a question. They reached out to me I would reach back and help.”
Thanks Torrey! You showed us what it feels like in the reader’s shoes. It seems no one else answered as I did, really heard you, or asked the clarifying question (what stage are you on?) before giving advice. These are great points to consider.
Of all the MLM teachers out there, Torrey picked me to join! It only took a few minutes of my time, and a desire to help.
So here’s the formula for getting a downline on social media:
Think: Which aspects of your company’s products do you love most? ~ What type of customers do you enjoy most? (people who want to lose weight, save on energy bills, etc.)
Start a Facebook page and a blog geared to them with the same title (not your company name) that is the answer to your target market’s prayers, and will magnetize them to you.
Post items of value to them. Give tips you know they can use. Posts on your page can lead to your blog, which leads to your business. Only pitch your business 5-10% of the time on your page. Invite questions. Be a go-to expert for them on that topic. Invite them to share resources and what works for them. Ask questions to engage discussion.
Also add value in other forums, groups, and pages that are geared to the same folks. Comment on other pages as your page (sign your name). You can get more specific with someone you connect with by messages, phone, Skype, Google Plus Hangouts, etc.
That’s how Torrey and I found each other, and how you can find your future downline! Thank you Torry for letting us use this case study to help others.
It’s really just treating someone like you would if you met them at the gym or a networking group: aim to be helpful.

Have some happy success stories in mind to tell people: such as how others have changed careers and succeeded in Network Marketing or your company. This gives them hope, possibilities, and options. Stories are true doable!

It’s the how-to’s of Network Marketing. Don says it’s like teaching someone to drive BEFORE you give them the keys to the car, so they don’t get discouraged and wreck their warm market and hopes.
If your prospect has a strong bias against MLM, this video tackles that best: Brilliant Compensation, by Tim Sales. It handles objections for you.

MLM, or Multi-Level Marketing, is also called Network Marketing. It is selling a product or service, and training others to do that too. In return for finding and training them, you receive a monthly residual income from their sales, as well as from your own.

At the same time, it’s a start, not a finish line. It’s like getting married; now is the rest of the journey, which rewards even more work. Like a garden one has the opportunity to nurture, water, and weed.
When I hear the 90 days of recruiting results, I always wonder, “What happened after that?” Like an unfinished novel, I wonder!
I’d like to hear reports in another 90 days from these same people: How many of their new recruits emerged as Golden distributors?
After 90 days of followup: Getting them started right, like baby garden plants, protecting them from predators, weeds, the elements. From negative people, lack of skills, or their own fears or discouragement. Warning them, teaching them, encouraging them.
Maybe you will be surprised which turn out to be the Golden Ones. It will be a small % of your recruits.
Isn’t this the TRUE measure of your business?
Let’s celebrate the beginning steps of recruiting. But let the GOAL be to find and develop the Golden Ones. Who duplicate themselves 3 levels down. Don Failla says that’s when you know you’ve duplicated yourself. Let’s keep our eyes on that. And talk about that, and report that. How about letting us know every 90 days your latest story? Give us a victory count of how many have duplicated themselves 3 levels deep.

Did you know? 80% of Network Marketers are women! Why?
I can guess that women are interested in working from home to be with their families, they are good at relationships, they are good listeners, and they are all over the community in school and sporting events, and birthday parties, etc.
Yet few of the top earners in Network Marketing are women. Why?
Again I can guess that many have family to care for. I value putting family first, as I did when I raised my son as a single mom. It slowed me down as a Network Marketer. But I’m glad I did.
Could there also be another psychological or societal reason? Do women need to believe in themselves? Throw off the mindset that men earn more? Expand what they believe is possible? Can you be very successful in business and STILL be a feminine woman and a mother?

I had the fortune to interview Marina Worre of Network Marketing Pro.
